In the world of Hollywood movie romantic, there are many good options. Some are better than others but all provide some level of entertainment that can be shared with your partner or close friends.
The Notebook
The Notebook is a 2004 American romantic drama film directed by Nick Cassavetes and based on the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. The film stars Ryan Gosling as Noah Calhoun and Rachel McAdams as Allie Hamilton, two lovers whose relationship spans decades.
The Notebook was shot in South Carolina, United States. It was released on August 16, 2004 in North America to critical acclaim and commercial success, earning $81 million at the U.S box office.[1][2] It became one of only eight films ever to sell over $100 million worth at the box office during its initial run[3], making it one of only three films to cross that mark without being re-released or re-packaged (the others being Titanic and Avatar).
Romeo + Juliet
Romeo + Juliet is a 1996 American hollywood movie romantic drama film. It was directed by Baz Luhrmann and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Claire Danes, John Leguizamo and Harold Perrineau. The film is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, set in contemporary Verona Beach California rather than Renaissance-era Verona Italy.
A Walk to Remember
A Walk to Remember is a 2002 romance film starring Mandy Moore and Shane West. The movie is based on the book of the same name by Nicholas Sparks, who also wrote The Notebook.
The lead characters are Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan, who fall in love at first sight when they meet at school one day. However their relationship is threatened by Landon’s father who disapproves of him dating someone from a lower social status than he has been used to before meeting Jamie.
Titanic
Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance-disaster film directed, written and co-produced by James Cameron. The film grossed over $2 billion worldwide and became the first movie to ever reach the billion dollar mark at the time of its release. It was nominated for 14 Academy Awards including Best Picture and won 11 Oscars including Best Director for James Cameron, Best Cinematography (for Russell Carpenter), Best Visual Effects, Best Original Score (for James Horner) and Best Art Direction/Set Decoration.
The story takes place in 1912 where we see Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) who falls in love with Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) while traveling on board RMS Titanic on its maiden voyage from Southampton England to New York City America but things don’t go as planned when an iceberg hits their ship causing it to sink under water killing many people including Rose’s parents leaving her alone with no one else except Jack who tries everything possible so that both can survive this disaster together despite obstacles coming their way!
Love Story
- Love Story is a 1970 film about the struggles of two young people in love. It is based on Erich Segal’s novel of the same name and directed by Arthur Hiller.
- Ryan O’Neal plays Oliver Barrett IV, a Harvard University student who falls in love with Jennifer Cavalleri (Ali MacGraw). They marry despite their differences: she comes from an upper-class family while he comes from a middle-class background; they also have different religious beliefs (she is Jewish while he isn’t).
- The movie was nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture but didn’t win any awards at all!
Dawson’s Creek
Dawson’s Creek is a television series that aired from 1998 to 2003 on The WB in the United States. It follows the lives of four teen friends in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts. The show was created by Kevin Williamson and debuted as part of the network’s inaugural season (alongside Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
While “Dawson’s Creek” had been on air for a while before I started watching it, I didn’t actually start watching until much later in life, when my mom gave me all three seasons on DVD after they were released on Blu-ray (I’m not sure why she did this). Regardless, I’m glad she did because now we can talk about this wonderful show together!
Conclusion
The best Hollywood movie romantic is The Notebook. It has a good story and the characters are very lovable. I think you should watch this movie if you want to know more about love stories because it teaches us how important it is to have someone who will always be there for us even when times get tough or we lose hope in everything around us.
